American Hero

Brothers can be your friend, your adviser, your babysitter, a father figure when yours isnt there. then you realize he's not there anymore but across the state, the coast, the country, the world. fighting for the rights we take for granted everyday. And you just smile and remember the guy who used to blame you for things he did, put peanut butter in your hair when you slept, the joker who got kicked out of a JCpenny for playing football in the shoe department. And you imagine: thats the guy whos stoping terrorists from bombing the building your sitting in right now. Then you see him with his wife and loving kids and you think: that hero of our country is a dad, a real one and a good one. Fortunatly my brother is all those things and more. Think about this the next time you see a man/woman in uniform: they're not just robots who fights your battles, they have a story, a famliy, they are real people with real problems just like you and me...the only diffrence is they fight to be able to have those things like a family, they sacrifice there lives to protect the american dream, to make sure that we don't have to wake up and say "Remember that time when we could say whatever we wanted?"

My Brother is going to bed tonight on a cot in the belly of a ship out in the middle of the ocean so that he may answer the call when America needs him. So the next time you see a man or woman in uniform don't you think the least you could say is thank you?

                                                     Thank you big bro.

Krayt the dragon slayer!

“Granpa!” cried the little voices. As I walked in from the cold unforgiving winter breeze to my son’s home, a small cabin we all called honeyside. the roaring fire place was warming to my old bones but as soon as I sat in my favorite recliner my four little grandsons ran and slid across the floor to my feet.”TELL US A STORY!!!” came the screech from their tiny mouths. “what story? I’ve told you the ones I know!” Out of the corner of my eye a rather imposing  figure sneaked into the shadows. “you can’t hide from me, son! Your stench is as strong as your arm.” I bellowed. “Hello, father. I didn’t realize you were visiting.” He straightened from his crouched stance, filling the doorway. “Didn’t Leia tell you?” I asked. “Apparently not, dad.” he spat. “ Hello son, or are we already at just names? In that case, hello, Krayt.” I Haven't said that name in years. just then one of the tiny mouths opened to say “ Daddy, why are you mad at pawpaw?”
“He’s mad that I named him after a legendary dragon slayer!”
The children gasped “ you're a dr-dr-dr-dragon slayer!?”
“No I’m just named after a silly legend.” The figure slid in front of the fire place.
“Ooo, I don’t think you’ve told us that one pawpaw!” their little faces beamed like the sun at the thought of a new story to share with their friends.
“Alright, fine , I’ll bow to social pressure and tell you the story.” I said in an exasperated tone.
Krayt rolled his eyes “ I can’t believe anyone would want to hear some old story like that!” He started to walk off when Leia strode in and ordered her husband to sit and listen.
“Alright, alright fine I’ll sit and listen!”
“now then if I can begin, Once apon a time, in a galaxy far far away...”
the little ones interjected “ that’s Star wars, granpa!”
“Oh , right I guess it is anyways I tale of the legend Krayt the dragon slayer!”

THE HUNGER GAMES: the movie review

yesterday I saw The hunger games: the movie, I was suprised, not because of the plot or that they left stuff out, no I was surprised because they made a three star book into a four star movie in itself the movie was less predictable then the book and unlike the book, the movie actually hints to the possibilty of a sequal. My rule for reviews go: NO SPOILERS! so im not going to go into the details. If you were looking for a summary you came to the wrong place watch the movie or read the book or even better, do both.
pros                                                            cons

                                                                    plot holes

told the story well                                     bad camra angles
made sense (somewhat)

New book, yay! -_-

I just recently was forced to start a new book in class called   The house of the SCORPION by, Nancy Farmer.   I have gotten about 70 pages in and so far its about a kid who turns out to be a clone and everybody hates clones. so, yeah thats about it, 70 pages in and thats all I know. It takes place in what used to be Mexico.  I've read better books but the plot behind it seems original enough, NOT! the book is just like any book about a slaves or "untouchables" the only differnce is this is about a clone and Mexico is called Opium. eh two stars out of five

Dear Death,

Dear Death,

I see you standing there in the backround, watching, waiting, always ready to pounce at the first opportunity to take them away. When they finally leave I don’t cry or beg or bargain, I don’t even regret, I accept the inevitable, I’ve come to look at you not with anger but happiness, for I welcome thee bringer of justice to take away my friend’s pain and mortality. I’m not sad when you arrive but happy for I know that I will see them in the after life, whatever that may be, at the very least dream of them in my never waking slumber. I just want you to know that I’m not scared or intimidated I expect you to be cruel but just try not to chop off my head thinking I'll put up a fight. I will just go with you but I am ready to leave but I prefer to keep all my body parts in the process. I suspect we will meet again soon but the battlefield will be a different place.

your friend , Well you already know.

The Final Frontier 3rd entrie

Jan,20,2076,Scott- They chose ME to take that Coward’s spot as Sargent! This sucks! Now I’ll actually have to contribute to an important part of the expedition. Ugh! I hate responsibility! Now I’ll need to set an example and know about the politics behind everything that’s going on. This is going to be bad. What if we get attacked and my team dies! I don’t want to be left out here just to have to find my way back on my own!  The good news is when they don’t need us to explore we become the defence squad ‘which is basically the same thing except  we’ll stay in the same spot and in the walls of the settlement. Either way at least I get to hold a blaster so its not all bad. But anyways I have to stop, we’re boarding.

totally pointless reflection

My top three posts are as follows: 1 hunger games research project, 2 Being thirteen, 3 tell tale heart project. That is based on page views.

proof that I think... umm, yeah: tell tale heart project. Its wierd comming up with an abstract piont of view.

example of  growth: tell tale heart project. It shows im thinking from an abstract point of veiw

example of creativity:  The Final Frontier  I had to create a plot and people

The Final Frontier 2nd entrie

Jan,19,2076,Scott- NASA has announced the formation of squads there are many jobs people need to complete like Exploration/Defence, Gathering, hunting , ect. The squads will complete the tasks as they arise but each squad needs a Sergent to command them and settle disputes between one another. The only people they listen to are the Captains, oh yeah the Captains are the leaders of 10 men ( two squads). But anyways the srg. for the exploration squad bailed on us and they need a new Sargent, I pray for whoever they make take that job. I just want to skate by so  I’m just going to be in the defence squad as a lackey or something, that way I can lounge around with a TZ-15 and shoot anything that tries to get by. One day and some change till liftoff.

The Final Frontier (PREVIEW)

Jan,17,2076- My name is Jason Scott I may only be 15 but I have a very important job. I am one of the 14 teens chosen to settle the final frontier, planet X. Yes the U.S. Government is sending 14 teens, 6 kids, and 30 adults to populate the small planet Omega 7. We are all currently being educated on boring stuff like gravity and pressures but mainly survival techniques like how to clean water. NASA says we should keep a log of everything that happens, kind of like a diary.
Well that’s it for my first entry, time till lift-off aprox. 74 hours and counting.

Please keep in mind this is just a preview but be sure to leave comments and Ideas
